Free Earth Festival returns to Greece in 2026 for its ninth edition, bringing seven days of psytrance, psychedelic culture and community to the shores of the Strymonian Gulf.
The festival will take place from August 24 to August 30, 2026, at Asprovalta Camping in northern Greece, around 50 minutes by car from Thessaloniki Airport.
Unlike many large European psychedelic festivals, Free Earth combines its dancefloors with a beach and shaded camping area, while limiting attendance to 5,000 people.

Location: a psytrance festival by the sea
One of the defining features of Free Earth is its location.
The festival takes place at Asprovalta Camping, on the Strymonian Gulf in northern Greece. The venue combines a large beach with wooded camping areas where mature trees provide natural shade.
This means festivalgoers can move between the dancefloors, camping areas and the sea throughout the week.

Free Earth 2026 spreads its musical program across three stages, each focusing on a different side of psychedelic electronic music.
Enlightenment Stage
The Enlightenment Stage is Free Earth's main psytrance dancefloor, covering a spectrum that runs from progressive psytrance to full-on and classic psychedelic sounds.
Juno Reactor will open the stage with a retro DJ set.

The Enlightenment Stage officially opens on August 26 at 21:00.
Parvati Stage
One of the notable additions to the 2026 edition is the return of the Parvati Stage.
Connected with the influential psychedelic label Parvati Records, this dancefloor represents the deeper and more underground side of the festival.
After being absent from the previous edition, the dedicated Parvati space returns in 2026 with artists from the label alongside selected guests.
The Parvati Stage opens on August 25 at 21:00.
Oxygen Stage
The Oxygen Stage explores the slower and more alternative side of the psychedelic spectrum.
Its musical direction ranges from psychedelic downtempo and dark progressive to psytechno, creating an alternative to the more traditional psytrance programming found on the other dancefloors.
Oxygen is also the first music stage to open, beginning on August 24 at 21:00.
More than music
Free Earth is designed as more than a sequence of DJ sets.
The festival says more than 250 artists, DJs, performers, teachers and healers will participate in the 2026 gathering.
Several areas operate alongside the main music stages.
AUM Healing Area
The AUM Healing Area is dedicated to workshops, classes and holistic practices.
For 2026, it is planned as a five-day program featuring international and Greek facilitators. The complete lineup of activities and teachers has not yet been announced.

Agora
The festival's Agora acts as its marketplace and social area, bringing together art, handcrafted products, clothing and food.
Kids Area
Free Earth also includes a dedicated Kids Area and welcomes families.

Camping at Free Earth
General camping is included with the festival ticket.
The standard camping areas provide access to toilets and showers, with both shaded and non-shaded spaces available. Camping spots are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
For visitors looking for additional comfort, Free Earth also operates the Earth Village, a separate premium accommodation area.
Its Bell Tents can accommodate two or three guests and include beds, mattresses, bedding and electricity, together with access to private toilets and showers.
These premium accommodations are not included with the regular festival ticket and require a separate reservation.
Cars and caravans
Free Earth is caravan-friendly and provides designated caravan areas as well as free parking.
Cars must remain in the designated parking areas rather than the camping zones, while caravans have their own rules regarding space, wastewater and sound systems.
Open fires are strictly prohibited throughout the festival.

The gathering begins on Monday, August 24, when the gates open at noon and attendees can begin setting up camp.

Visitors driving from Thessaloniki can travel east along the Egnatia Odos (A2) toward Kavala and take the Asprovalta/Vrasna exit.
After Earth: the official afterparty
The experience does not necessarily end on August 30.
Free Earth will also organize After Earth, its official 2026 afterparty, from September 3 to September 6.
The organizers describe it as a smaller coastal gathering that continues the community atmosphere of the main festival in a different location.
